This is a research-based product overview, not a hands-on review. We have not tested this product; the assessment below is based on the cited specifications and published evidence.

The VOOPOO DRAG H40 Pro is a compact pod mod rather than a tiny pen pod. Its appeal is the familiar DRAG-series control set in a smaller cylindrical body, with replaceable PnP X coils and a built-in battery. For UK readers, the key variant to look for is the TPD version, which VOOPOO lists with a 2ml PnP X MTL cartridge.

Core specification

VOOPOO’s product page lists a 5-40W output range, 3.2-4.2V output voltage, 0.3-3.0 ohm resistance range, 2450mAh built-in battery, USB-C 5V/2A charging, button activation and a 0.72-inch TFT screen. The body material is listed as zinc alloy and leather.

The TPD package is shown with the DRAG H40 Pro device, a 2ml PnP X MTL cartridge, a pre-installed 0.6 ohm PnP X coil, a 0.8 ohm spare coil, a USB-C cable, user manual and PnP X platform card. VOOPOO also lists wider PnP X coil compatibility, but not every coil makes equal sense on a 40W device. The 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0 ohm options are the most relevant for mouth-to-lung or restricted direct-lung use; lower-resistance PnP X coils may sit close to, or beyond, the top end of the device’s power ceiling.

Compatibility and UK use

The 2ml TPD cartridge matters. VOOPOO’s standard international pod is larger, and some reviews discuss non-UK sample kits. UK buyers should check that the supplied pod is the 2ml version and that nicotine-containing e-liquid remains within UK limits.

As a refillable, rechargeable kit, the DRAG H40 Pro is a more sustainable direction than a single-use vape. It is still a nicotine device when used with nicotine e-liquid, so it is for adults who smoke or already vape. NHS advice frames vaping as substantially less harmful than smoking, but not risk-free, and it is not for non-smokers or children.

Evidence limits

Limitations

This assessment is based on manufacturer information and official guidance. It cannot verify flavour, leakage resistance, long-term reliability, exact battery endurance or coil lifespan for a retail UK sample. VOOPOO’s claims about coil endurance and leak reduction should be treated as manufacturer claims unless confirmed by consistent independent testing.

Who it suits

The DRAG H40 Pro looks best suited to adult vapers who want more control than a simple fixed-output pod but do not need a large external-battery mod. It may suit someone using 50VG e-liquid with higher-resistance PnP X coils, or someone who wants a compact restricted draw with visible wattage control.

It is less suitable for someone wanting the smallest possible starter pod, automatic draw activation, or high-power direct-lung vaping. Safe charging still matters: use an appropriate USB power source, avoid damaged cables, and do not leave any vape charging unattended.

Assessment

A flexible compact pod mod on paper, strongest for adult vapers who want adjustable wattage and PnP X coil compatibility in a UK-compliant 2ml setup. The main caveat is that published hands-on coverage often uses non-TPD samples, so UK pod capacity and day-to-day refill frequency should be judged separately.
